I need to finish up some achievements on Portal, then I'm selling the Orange box to buy something else. (Not sure what. Possibly an EDF game, but Bayonetta and others look good too...plus, nobody I know has any EDF games.)
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

I'm playing through Bit.Trip Runner right now, on PC. I really like it so far. It's a lot like Pitfall (my favorite 2600 game), and it's got great sound/music. I'm also doing Cave Story+ on PC, which I'm also also enjoying.

I tried playing X-Scape from DSiWare today. I don't know why I've heard good things about it. The controls are complete and utter garbage. It's practically unplayable. I can't believe this game was published by Nintendo

I loved that game, and got used to the controls pretty quickly. They ARE a bit awkward though.

Castlevania LOS.

Great looking game, but here's how it plays out:

God of War Action, action, action, puzzle that doesn't make much sense. SOTC boss battle, epic, epic, epic, puzzle that doesn't make much sense. Onimusha style upgrading and action, action, action. Then another puzzle that doesn't make sense.

It's a great amalgam of games but when I play Castlevania, that's not what I want. I'll keep trucking through the game and I may end up loving it, but so far it's laborious and being someone who doesn't read faq's or strategy guides, figuring out some of the dumb puzzles just isn't fun. Case in point:

Thingy flashes gold. I pick up thingy. Now while holding thingy a new thingy flashes gold. Try to interact both thingies, but nothing happens. Locked in room with thingies, nothing seems to work.

So many games, so little time. I'm currently working on:

Batman: Arkham City (360)
F.E.A.R. files (360)
Dead Island (360)
Mario Bros (original Arcade version) - I'm really just trying to top my high scores each time and for fun! :D
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (snes) - Even though the difficulty seems a little bit easier on this, it's still a bitch!!
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

Do yourself a favor and quit while you're ahead. I may tend to have harsh opinions, but really, that game is just a mess. Beyond the whole "this isn't Castlevania" thing, it's just a shit game. Then again I hate GoW so perhaps it's just my bias speaking.

I think if your thingy is in 2 pieces and flashing gold it is time to see a doctor.

Heh.

I personally loved Castlevania: LoS. I felt like it was actually (in some ways) a good imagining of a Castlevania game in 3D. The levels felt like a 2D game in some ways the way it was linear and yet had secrets. I didn't seem to have any issues with the puzzles being abstruse and didn't have to use a FAQ, but obviously that's a person-to-person thing. My favorite part of this game was the story, which doesn't really reveal itself until the latter third of the game. Overall I put it in my top five for the year it came out. Let us know what you find!

I liked everything about what I played but the controls. I read that there is a button control option. I'm going to try that and give the game a second shot. I REFUSE to play a Starfox-like game wth stylus controls. I mean the very concept is simply ludicrous to me.
