More importantly:
Between 2002 and 2003 Joyride and GamePro released as a joint venture a number of lines of video game action figures, most of them based on licensed properties like Metroid, Zelda and Sonic (there were even planes from Medal of Honour!). Awesomely, less-established franchises were given the treatment as well, like Jet Set Radio and Monkey Ball.

like Jet Set Radio and Monkey Ball.

I was actually trying to parody typical caps-lock overreactions (hence the caps lock ahoy part at the end), but back on topic, I was never a big fan of GP. If there were Tips & Tricks action figures, on the other hand...

this is exactly what I thought when I read that, but then I looked them up on ebay... $114 is the cheapest BIN.

I would spend 100 dollars on a Boba Fatt action figure, if the helmet was removable and it came with a blaster and an ice cream cone.

Come on, who doesn't want a Doctor Zombie action figure?

Gamepro was all we had for a while, and I do remember checking out some great games from their suggestions. Not the best magazine, but it was pretty sweet. Better than Nintendo Power if nothing else.
