Should Sony make another Ghost in the Shell or remain dead?
Should Sony make another Ghost in the Shell or remain dead?
Ghost in the Shell is actually a potential franchise in the gaming industry, but Sony never really got anywhere with it. I can actually imagine a big budget project where it becomes like the next Metal Gear or Yakuza title with multiply entries, but I think Sony's best bet is to find a suitable developer. I find it hard to believe why none of the developers have picked up on this because who wouldn't be excited? It doesn't really have to be a "Ghost in the Shell" game just as long as it shares the same atmosphere with great storyline then I'm all good it. Well, I'm glad Sega is doing Binary Domain even though is more of a swat based tactical shooter.

it's possible but there will be the problem of development hell.
and many different licensors taking their cut of the game.
As much as we would want to have an awesome game like that, Money talks and companies want their money.
The copyright laws aren't as strict in japan as they are in the US. One property may be owned by one company in japan and many here in the US. And vice versa.
And with the slow and collapsed US market for anime/manga. Not enough money will head their way to please them.
GREEDY CORPORATE BASTARDS
wow I sounded like Inazuma
