Wow, did't realize these games had a sleazy side to them too.

Here's my understanding of HN:

-game is loosely baed on console wars, and consoles appear at times throughout
-game features large breasted anime characters with whiny voices. some characters seem to be part machine.
-game features pretty standard turn based gameplay.
-game features a ton of sexual innuendo (junior high hilarity abounds).
-the game made noise buy a Dreamcast, which he seemingly likes less than this game.

Am I right?

yes, the game is based on console wars (the world is called Gameindustri).
-game features large breasted anime characters with whiny voices. some characters seem to be part machine.
the anime goddesses ARE the consoles (the green one with way-too-big breasts is an XBox. Get it? She feels she's more powerful than the others because she's physically larger than them. Get it?)
-game features pretty standard turn based gameplay.
the first one is pretty standard. But still not really. You actually design your own combos using series of buttons that take up different amounts of available points. The second game will have a new battle system though that looks more real time.
-game features a ton of sexual innuendo (junior high hilarity abounds).
I wouldn't say "a ton," or "junior high." Really the bulk of the jokes are rib-jabs about the video game industry. Even the fact that the girls are moe is pretty much self-deprecation of the publishers behind the game, and well... fans of the genre.
-the game made noise buy a Dreamcast, which he seemingly likes less than this game.
This much is true.

Ok, sounds like a great game for anyone who ever wanted to put their dick in a nubile young Sega Saturn

I kid, I kid.

With love.

she's actually a Neptune.

But what I personally find so compelling about the game is how odd it is. Like I think I mentioned in my blog post -- I don't like HN because it's "a great game," I like it because it's a unique game. The strange parable nature, the satirical script, the ridiculousness of it all. Instead of summoning dragons or djinns, you summon fucking Altered Beast and Opa Opa from Fantasy Zone. In the new one, you summon Inafune's head! I don't know, in a lot of ways I found this kind of mish-mash parody and over-the-top name-dropping game a lot more interesting than just a standard JRPG.

It is a great game though, my second favorite of the year after Radiant Historia.

@noise

You wanted to buy a Dreamcast after playing this?

Ah okay cool. I actually remember reading that (in your blog I mean) awhile ago, I had just forgotten. Yeah it does feel like a weird DC game.
