Robocop Data East Arcade Control Panel help

I was wondering if anybody knows if a Neo Geo Arcade control can be installed on a Data East Cabinet? I got one for free and would like to turn it into a Neo Geo. Everything works great just the control panel has a lot of holes have ben drilled so it would be very difficult to drill holes for a Neo Geo config. Thanks
