No, it isn't. (Or at least not by much.)
I put this up here wondering what you specifically you were going to say.
Why are you micro-analyzing everything on here.
I am lobbying for a return to form for this thread or for a new thread that features genuinely surprising finds. You just happened to be one of the first to post the kind of post that many others have been making for the past few months (the kind that readers have to "sift through" in order to find the gold).
You are also discouraging people from posting finds. People might become afraid of posting finds, for fear of you guys embarrassing them and saying it's no good.
If it isn't an obvious-to-everyone good find, then I feel they should be discouraged. They used to be.

/old man rant about how things have changed
Please just go make your new thread so we can stop having this fill up with bitching and go back to filling up with games. We get your point but it doesn't seem like it is going to change this thread back to how you want it. It has become watered down in your opinion and that is just how it is. I am pretty sure none of us disagree with you making a Super Rare Pick Up thread. No disrespect intended.

I am not meaning to single you out TheClassicVideoGame, but this is the kind of thing I am talking about that annoys me about what this thread has become. You spent $6.50 on a Players Choice copy of Luigi's Mansion. Looking at eBay closed options, it regularly closes for $7-$15 shipped for "black label" copies, including a few with guides. It is $15 @ Gamestop, which means it can be had for essentially $10ish in a B2G1 sale.

I just don't see this kind of thing as a "find". If others do, fine, but would anyone really object to creating a new thread for showcasing impressive finds, the kind of thing that this thread used to specialize in but now only pops up from time to time?
stop nit-picking or create your own forum/website and see how people like your nazi-ish rules.

it is sad that you actually did research on a game just to complain about a post. jeez.

there are no elders on the internet. we are all the same as far as respect goes.

maybe we should start a new thread where the first post has a rule about grading the other person's find. i think that would be interesting. 1 = this luigi's mansion, 5 = a pretty good deal and 10 = JFC!!! you totally got a steal!!!

I wasn't trying to start anything. I thought it was a pretty good deal, because it is. Then maybe someone might go, nice great game or something. Like i stated earlier this is the finds of the day thread. Not the Rarest finds of the year thread or something.

I don't agree with condemning anyone's postings because "finds" are subjective, it all depends on the person. Take imports for instance: I've never seen Japanese games in any stores in my state, all of mine are from the internet or gaming conventions. If I stumbled upon any Famicom game at a thrift/gaming store, even if it was something like Baseball, I would be excited as all hell. Others might scoff at it, but to me it would be a find of the day.

Dude, don't even Godwin the thread. :?

Anyway, guess we should just make a Super Super thread and be done with it. Some people apparently want to read the more mundane purchase posts here, some of us are more interested in the amazing ones.

@sbk, for the awesome Target clearances, there are a few scattered "Deal on the X", either use the appropriate one of those, or post a one off thread since that will highlight the limited nature of the deal just fine for those of use that want to have a look and try to get in on them.
