What would you rather be? Wizard or Sorcerer?
Ehh, general question I am thinking of. It doesn't have to be specific to anything such as Dungeons & Dragons, but I thought it was a fun idea to have your own views of the differences and say why you choose one over the other.
For me, I would rather be a Wizard, just sticking my nose in the books as well having earned and having a wider array of spells than the Sorcerer who is born with the magic running through their veins and therefore comes to them naturally.
By the way, I'm thinking of D&D 3.5 rules for most of my explanation, 4.0 a wizard would have crowd control where a sorcerer would focus more on one enemy and pound the living tar out of him.

Where is the both option?
I'd be a sorcerer then. Sounds more interesting to be born magic.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

Heh, nah, I wanted people to choose =] cause I know it's a tough one because I love having both a wizard and a sorcerer in my team because they're either good friends or arch rivals.DinnerX wrote:Where is the both option?![]()

Here's the thing, those born into a language are not nearly as proficient as someone that learned it the hard way. That includes immersion as well as knowing a native language. These leaves room for possibilities.
Naturally I'd choose the wizard, but I am not naive. The wizard is a wrinkled old codger. To be proficient at all he must let his body fail him and his mind reward him. I'd much rather be the sorcerer whom builds up his arsenal by trial and error.
Besides, the wizard can only come up with that which is established, and maybe stumble on something new. The sorcerer is going to have lots and lots of different oddities while experimenting.

If I asked, "what's the difference?" how long would I have to get away before I was nerdered?

I voted Sorcerer, because if it's anything like the Diablo 2 SORCERESS i would be unstoppable
