Video Game "Look what I found"
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I picked up an Atari Jaguar, Turbografx 16, 32x (with Model 2 Genny), and an Atari 7800 on Craigslist for $75. Most were without cables, but there were multiple games included with all. I traded the Jaguar for a Sega CD, sold the 7800 on eBay (cheaply, as it did not work) and kept the 32x and TG16. Never had a TG16 nor played one. They're surprisingly awesome.

I just got Kirby's Dream Land CIB (Players Choice Edition) for $5.25, I'm not exactly sure what it's selling for but it's in really nice (nearly perfect) condition.

Took a chance with no picture, but yeah. I don't mind the player's choice for gamecube though. Still a good deal I think.retrosportsgamer wrote:I'm assuming its Player's Choice?TheClassicVideoGamer wrote:Picked up a Like New Luigi's Mansion for Gamecube off of ebay for 3.50 buy it now plus 3 dollars shipping!

I am not meaning to single you out TheClassicVideoGame, but this is the kind of thing I am talking about that annoys me about what this thread has become. You spent $6.50 on a Players Choice copy of Luigi's Mansion. Looking at eBay closed options, it regularly closes for $7-$15 shipped for "black label" copies, including a few with guides. It is $15 @ Gamestop, which means it can be had for essentially $10ish in a B2G1 sale.TheClassicVideoGamer wrote:Picked up a Like New Luigi's Mansion for Gamecube off of ebay for 3.50 buy it now plus 3 dollars shipping!
I just don't see this kind of thing as a "find". If others do, fine, but would anyone really object to creating a new thread for showcasing impressive finds, the kind of thing that this thread used to specialize in but now only pops up from time to time?

Give me a break man, that's a low price nowadays. I bought it immediately as it was listed, and thought some people would enjoy reading about it. I put this up here wondering what you specifically you were going to say. I got it shipped for less than half the value. I had a little story to it. Why are you micro-analyzing everything on here.dsheinem wrote:I am not meaning to single you out TheClassicVideoGame, but this is the kind of thing I am talking about that annoys me about what this thread has become. You are also discouraging people from posting finds. People might become afraid of posting finds, for fear of you guys embarrassing them and saying it's no good.

No, it isn't. (Or at least not by much.)TheClassicVideoGamer wrote:Give me a break man, that's a low price nowadays.

I am lobbying for a return to form for this thread or for a new thread that features genuinely surprising finds. You just happened to be one of the first to post the kind of post that many others have been making for the past few months (the kind that readers have to "sift through" in order to find the gold). Why are you micro-analyzing everything on here.
If it isn't an obvious-to-everyone good find, then I feel they should be discouraged. They used to be.You are also discouraging people from posting finds. People might become afraid of posting finds, for fear of you guys embarrassing them and saying it's no good.
