i find that im constantly in behind when i play...probably due to me not having many of the parts unlocked. so for a while I'm gonna focus on unlocking some of that. i also need to find some of the tracks shortcuts.

The coins you earn from racing online count toward unlocks. If you finish a community grand prix, you will unlock everything that you earned enough coins for.

Play offline to unlock all of the characters and then you can do the rest online.

*edit*
I booted up MK7 and got a new machine part unlock at the title screen, so it looks like you don't have to clear a grand prix after all. Very cool.

You can dodge the blue shells with a mushroom; I did it in a race against Sevin and weasels. It has to be timed immediately before it goes straight down to hit you.

Yeah. I'll eventually learn the timing myself. Never did it yet.

Who wants to race me in the community? Just post here and let's meet up.

Nonsense. All you need is the right mindset and you will instantly be better than 95% of all players. How much do you know about the professional gamer mindset? I'm talking about how the very best players think and make decisions with video games.

Of course you have to actually play the game to learn the controls, the rules, and all of the techniques and shortcuts, but it's really amazing how having the right mindset can make a massive fucking difference. Video games are a mental activity, so your thought process is crucial to succeeding.

And it's not like the pro mindset is so complicated or difficult to learn. It's actually very simple and easy. The vast majority of players either never think about mindsets at all, or they refuse to consider changing theirs. If you are open minded and want to play at your max potential, let me know, and I can help you.

@scarper

How come you only play online for one or two races and then log off? I see you on, and I join you and then you always leave right away. Are you just really busy and only able to play for a few minutes or are you avoiding me?

I like racing you because you beat me most of the time. It helps me improve faster and it's very fun.

I randomly decided to join the Youtube community last night and ran into many Youtubers such as Pete Dorr and Holly (doginmylens). We played a few 8 player community grand prixs together and it was very fun. I came in 2nd place most of the time, because Pete Dorr is very good. I did manage to get 1st place on one of the grand prixs, but Pete did better than me overall. My personal win/loss ratio with him is 5-15, which would make him the very best opponent I have faced yet.

We never decided on a schedule for our own community races. How bout we do Fri, Sat & Sun at 9 pm EST?
