can you (or anyone) say much about port differences? I have the Genesis port...

PC Engine port is best avoided. Lots of lag, visuals are noticeably worse, all that good stuff. Genesis port is solid but of course nothing beats the real thing. I haven't spent all that much time with an arcade rom itself but I feel confident saying the Genesis port is a good conversion, all around. Visuals and audio are the most noticeable drop in quality, but there's not much lag. PC Engine version has lots of lag.

Think of the Hellfire port, in terms of the difference in audio/visual quality with Genesis vs arcade, if you've played that.

Yay TRUXTON! Great classic from Toaplan. Will get right on it -- Can we somehow incorporate Truxton II for those interested in playing too?

There hasn't been much voting on what devs we're going to do. So far:

Capcom - 1

1 VOTE FOR CAPCOM?! OY! That needs to be changed. I want ExedExes!!!! Don't forget the 194X-series, Vulgus, Varth, Eco Fighters, etc -- Capcom has great shmups!!! Please vote for Capcom! I would be really sad if Capcom couldn't be a part of it.

So Truxton it is? It's Jan 1st and there has been a good amount of votes.

Konami - 2* (tie for 9th spot)
Treasure - 2* (tie for 9th spot)

And see what I mean with the Konami/Treasure split? That's not gonna work out too well either.
