Me: sitting here, browsing web, being the loneliest gamer on the planet
Also was playing Kirby: Return to Dreamland for a bit.
Anyone else share my pain on the most out-going night of the year?

Relaxing with a mimosa at home. I am not really one for New Years parties. The cops are everywhere as are drunk drivers.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Standard beer pong at a friends I guess, lol. I asked in advance if I could crash at his place if it comes to that, I got a ticket driving home on New Years a few years ago, I was completely sobered up but speeding I guess. A nice reminder that cops are everywhere this night... lol.

I just finished watching a Shrek movie with my wife and two year old son, and now she's getting a pot of dipping chocolate going, and he is playing with some cars on the kitchen floor while I debate what I am going to do between now and midnight's ball drop on TV.
I really hope Dick Clark isn't on this year, as ever since his stroke (or whatever he had) he's the most fucking depressing New Year's host ever and always bums me out. I used to love him beforehand as he was a symbol of long-term youth: perfect for introducing the new year. Now he's a fucking harbinger of fear and sadness, and he really should just GTFO.

I'd have to agree about Dick Clark, not a pretty sight.
I want some chocolate dip now...

I'm performing a scrape on an old archive and injecting the results into a new platform.
