Got the Wii remote bundle of Zelda from Amazon, not too bad a price. My only big expenditure of the month. The only other thing I picked up was Command & Conquer for PS1 ready for next years Together Retro because I found it for pretty cheap in person.

Total number of games bought in December: 46. That's my final haul for the year. I probably won't buy this many games in a single month ever again. I also have Golden Axe Warrior on the way, but I'm not getting that until after New Years.

What are the 46?!

Next year this thread should be called "games acquired" since sometimes they come in via trades and sometimes you purchase it in a previous month but don't acquire it until the next (like your example). You can put GAW on your January 2012 list as far as I am concerned (along with Zillion :))

I put them in spoiler tags for this post, but the non-spoiler tagged post is two above it. I included trades, but not free games (got a couple PS2 games from both my brother and my sister's boyfriend). I also didn't include a double of Tetris, since I didn't buy it for myself. And I can't wait to get that Zillion. ;)

I tend to count things when they arrive, not when I paid for them. I've been counting this as 'obtained' and not purchased as well with trades and things.

Ah, I was informed where the confusion might lie. My post at the end of November was really just me keeping track of my December buys/trades. That's not a November one, but a December one. Btw, grand tally for the year is 218 not including Steam games.

Games Acquired: 2011
January: 67
February: 30
March: 9
April : 28
May: 40
June: 100
July: 18
August: 62
September: 10
October: 11
November: 14
December: 25

Steam and iOS sales brought lots of digital goods to my backlog this month. I only picked up three physical copy games!

360
DoDonPachi Resurrection

PS3
Infamous 2

PSP
Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together

Steam
Hard Reset
The Binding of Isaac
Humble Indie Bundle #4 (7 games)
The Ship
Sonic Generations
Renegade Ops
Penny Arcade Combo Pack
Bastion

iOS
Goat Up
Minotron
Sonic & Sega All Star Racers
Scribblenauts Remix
Groove Coaster
Madden 12
Super Monkey Bakk 2: Sakura Edition
Real Racing 2 HD

Rough final stats (boring and probably only interesting to me): about 415 games acquired, though a good chunk of them were traded away/sold - so I ended up with about (heh) 365 games acquired...

Of those ~365, about 1/3 are digital releases, so I added about ~250 games to the collection this year in physical form (and probably parted with another 20-40 games which I had acquired in previous years, for a net gain of ~200 physical games to the collection).
