I put RockBox firmware on my mp3 player. For those that don't know, it's custom firmware for mp3 players that adds a lot of features and whatnot.

Anyways, I was looking through the apps for the first time (I didn't even realize that it had apps) and saw some cools stuff. One was called "resistor" so I had to find out what that was. It's pretty cool, it let's you plug in the band colors from a resistor and it tells you the value. Vise versa, it will give you the band colors if you plug in a value. It also has an LED calculator. Pretty neat.

Yeah until it finally kicked the bucket I was running a 30gb ipod video with rockbox. Best mp3 player I ever had. I love rockbox.

...I should really replace it sometime. I miss that thing.

I have a SanDisk Sansa E250, version one. SanDisk said that the version 1 E250 can't use micro SDHC cards (only regular micro SD up to 2GB) because of a hardware limitation, but the version 2 can use SDHC cards with the current official firmware. With RockBox on my version 1 E250, I can use the SDHC cards... WTF, SanDisk?!

I scored my ipod at a pawn shop for around $60. I can't believe more people don't look for older generation ipods when shopping for mp3 players. Seriously great deals there if you want lots of space.
