In regards to bootleg GBA carts...

When you're shopping in a store that has a ton of loose carts, tilt up and look inside the ones you want to buy. Make sure there is a copyright Nintendo logo. If the game contacts are long and extend all the way up into the cart, it's likely fake.

I've also noticed that a lot of bootleg GBA carts have the wrong ESRB rating printed on their label for some reason. Find a copy of Mortal Kombat Advance with an E rating? Set that motherfucker back down and walk away.

My local record store is one of the few places around that still sells GBA carts. I alert the store clerks if I see any bootlegs. Sometimes they seem kinda irritated, but I'm just trying to help out. 8)

From noiseredux's blog, I was just reading this, and confirmed that my new Mario Kart, and My Silent Scope are bootlegs, as well as my TMNT cart. really casts a bleak pall over my day of sweet finds.
The bootleg carts have save issues. In addition to Noise's Guide, there are three pages of info here too.

God, it's me, Retrosportsgamer

You should consider starting a B/S/T thread if you're up for trading or selling any of those. Sounds like you have a number of pawn shops accessible, which is pretty awesome.

Yep, God is an Australian! So I will consider putting up a fresh B/S/T thread, but the P&H charges are probably going to render the whole exercise pretty useless. Plus the games are going to be PAL obviously.

There are still other Aussies and New Zealanders on the boards that might be interested in something.
