Yeah, I guess you're right. I guess I just always do it that way because when you see Playstation 3 anywhere, there is always a space before the 3, but I guess people don't do that when they abbreviate it

I was going to ask too actually, but then I figured I already got finalfightcd to stop calling his Genesis a "sega," so I didn't wanna be that guy y'know?

BTW, gamerforlife I find your Games Beaten list really interesting. I've not played most of them, but they are almost all games that I am interested in trying at some point.

That's pretty cool :)

2010 Games Beaten

Amazingly, Sega finally pulled off something I never thought they could: Sonic Generations is the first good Sonic game since Sonic 3 in 1994. I talked about it a good bit in the thread dedicated to the game, where a bunch of folks are gushing - and rightfully so. Everyone should give it a look.

Homefront gets knocked for having a short campaign and being overall mediocre, but I thought the campaign was no shorter than what is typical of most FPSs these days and didn't hate the gameplay. Futhermore, I thought the game looked great and had a memorable and sometimes interesting story behind it (even if the storytelling and level design wasn't great). It isn't near as bad as it has been made out to be across the web, and I found it to be an enjoyable romp.

I hope to get to 90 by year's end, though time will tell....

It would be a shame to skip that one bro.

I played 2-3 hours of it a few years ago. I don't understand all the fuss.

Maybe it hasn't aged well? I played it when it came out and loved it.

2010 Games Beaten

Groove Coaster is either made by or inspired by the same folks who have done Space Invaders Infinity Gene and Space Invaders Extreme - it is a rhythm game that is trippy as hell and really quite impressive and fun. If you have iOS and like games that take full advantage of the hardware, you'll probably dig it.

I think I picked up No More Heroes back when it was released, and have been VERY slowly playing through it over the years. For as much as I like about the game (the combat, the humor, the art, the style, etc.), there's a lot I don't (the horrible open world stuff, the side jobs, the grinding for cash, and so on). Nonetheless it was compelling enough to keep coming back to and play through a few rank battles from time to time - and now I finally finished. I have NMH2 on the shelf, so I'm curious how it improved.

1 more to go to hit 90: I am not sure if I want to look into my "unfinished games" pile or play something short and arcadey. Decisions, decisions...

I'm not entirely sure if you'll enjoy Sonic 4 after playing Sonic Generations. It's going to feel like a step backwards. You really should have played Sonic 4 first lol. Flower is cheap to buy if I recall and you can finish it in probably two or three hours I think. It's not a long or complex game, but it is relaxing and beautiful and the final stage I think would put a smile on the face of all but the most jaded gamer. I think you said you liked Indigo Prophecy so I think Heavy Rain would be right up your alley. Plants vs Zombies is one I think everyone likes. I mean it's your basic Tower defense, but it's very funny and the last boss fight is cool and has a nice soundtrack

Alice is a bit of a long game, I don't know how you'll feel about it, but I liked it. Its formula is similar to the first Alice game, just a bit more polished and evolved. Some argue it doesn't make use of the Alice in Wonderland material as well, but given that it's the second time around that they're doing it, that's not surprising. The game is a bit too long I think, but I still liked it

I love Portal 2, but I don't know if it's your type of game. It really has that PC game feel since that's what Valve specializes in, but it's well designed with some great puzzles. If nothing else, you might love it for the hilarious dialog

I would say to try Beyond Good and Evil for the following reasons:

Great characters
The story conveys genuine emotion much better than a lot of games I've played
Simple, elegant and intuitive combat system
One of the best chase sequences in gaming history
One of the best text entry systems I've seen in a console game(you'll use it for passwords to unlock doors)
The game has one of the best examples I've ever seen of integrating wildlife into a game, making the whole world feel more real and alive
Great soundtrack

Plus, it's not a very long game. You could finish it in a few days. On the negative side some of the stealth bits and races are annoying and the camera in the HD versions gets kind of crappy at times.
