Sonic CD Questions

Post by SpaceBooger »

I think I understand what to do in this game but I need to ask two questions:

1) I have to travel to the past and destroy the generators in every level, but it doesn't matter what time period I finish the level, right?

2) If I accidentally don't go to the past and destroy the generator in one level, can I go back at any point or do I have to start over?

In order to receive the "Good Future" each stage, you must:

- travel to the past and find and destroy the enemy generator on every act 1 and 2 in every zone. Once you do that in the first 2 acts on each area, the 3rd act where Robotnik is, will already be a Good Future already instead of the alternate version. Yes, once you destroy the generator, you may return to the present or stay in the past. I believe the current act will be enemy free in every time period after the generator is destroyed

- Try to get to the Special Stages ASAP. If you can get all 7 Time Stones, the remainder of the game will be a Good Future in every new act and zone you come across and you will not have to travel to the past anymore, and every subsequent act will be enemy-free.

If you miss even one generator, if the act is completed, you can NOT return to the past in that act. You must get all Good Futures in the game and collect all 7 Time Stones to get the best ending.

I guess you guys aren't ready for that, yet. But your kids are gonna love it.

Essentially, this is why I love Sonic CD so much. You can easily blast through the levels, but it can turn into an awesome adventure/platformer if you're running through the times looking for the generators and trying to get all the Emeralds.

*time stones

Not as bad as calling "rings" "coins", but it's still almost as bad as calling "Link" "Zelda".

Is that a 3DS XL in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me? ~ZeroAX

Not, NOT as bad -- taking this one from my Atari game days

Calling cartridges "tapes".

NO! Tapes are for COMPUTERS -- Carts are for CONSOLE!!!!!

Had the PC version of Sonic CD. LOVED it. Got it as a special deal for getting an HP PC -- ran pretty nice in Win 95! Too bad it's still one of the underrated black sheep in the entire series.....

A lot of kids at my school would be so excited when they got a new Nintendo Game Tape.

I never heard this before! Must have been born too late for that.

What bugs me is when people think the N64 or SNES is the original Nintendo.
