Played Gun-Nac for the first time tonight, and it follows a common theme with Compile. I loved the graphics, I loved the weapons, I loved the music. That said, their games are just a bit too easy. I got through Musha in one credit after about 3 tries, and GG Aleste and this in my first try.

Are there any Compile games that are considered difficult? I love everything else about their games, but its tough to want to play Musha, knowing that I'll be sitting there for quite some time.

Gonna give The Guardian Legend a spin tomorrow.

Gun Nac is easy if only for the weapons and the LIVES you get ( a ton )

TGL might be your first Compile challenge -- good luck!

Hmm the Spriggan games are probably the hardest of the Compile shmups. Overall though Compile stuff won't provide much of a challenge though, especially if you're used to Cave stuff. Awesome games though so I don't mind.

I forgot about the Spriggan games, I'll have to try those out.

I still love Compile, I just can't play them as often as, say, Toaplan, since their games rock me.

I was playing some Futari myself today. Set a new Black Label Maniac score, and started working on the 1st stage of God.

Definitely a sweet ass game(s)

How do the Raiden Trad games stack up compared to the regular "numbered" Raiden series? And which port is considered superior - SNES or Genesis??

I'm playing the Genesis port of Raiden Trad right now, and it plays pretty damn great compared to my Jaguar port of the original Raiden...

Raiden Trad on the SNES sucks. Far too much slowdown.

I thought it sucked on the Genesis, too. The Jaguar port is far better - I'm not sure why you think otherwise, R_F. What do you mean?
