I did some research and found out that the genesis controller is wired like the master system controller but with one added pin, which goes to the "START" and "A" buttons. That pin (which is labeled "7") is the reason why some games freak out. So I just severed the wire that's connected to pin 7 and problem solved :)
still works fine for 16 bit games?
Well, actually no. Because literally all I did was cut the wire in order to disable the start and a buttons. It started out as just an experiment on one of my extra controllers to see if it would work. But I'm sure that someone could figure out how to make it where it would still work for both. I am just not much of a technician. haha

You could just wire a small switch to pin 7 and mount it on the top of the controller (near the cord) so it is out of the way.

haha sweet, it's supposed to be dark grey but it kinda looks blue-ish but oh well. Just wanted to do something kind of different.

Cool setup Harper. I too have a Duck shrine where I worship the sacred Duck (capital D). May you be blessed by his webbed feet.

It's probably kind of dumb to bump a room thread but I put up some new pictures. :)
