A brand new Gamestop opened less then a week ago nearby. This is actually good with a very clean store and well in stock. The Bad is NO GBA, PS2 or Gamecube games or accessories! The only Gamecube related component is peg hooks full of the Gamestop Pelican Wii/Gamecube controllers. These will go on clearance soon.

The Ugly
Reality sets in, PS2 and Gamecube days are numbered. I hope they would last longer, Soon PS2 and Gamecube games will no longer be traded in and the remaining games will sell thru.

Load up while you can.
Oh no, you mean soon Gamestop won't be able to take ps2 games traded in that are CIB and just toss the case and manual away? How horrible!
I know, it's awful. I'm practically crying right now, because I won't be able to buy PS2 discs that were used as coasters anymore.
I hate the case toss too, but there are still CIB PS2 titles on the shelf. My Gamestops around here have throttled back on that policy. I still buy PS2 games and once in a while find a CIB treasure.

I'd rather those potential ps2 trade-ins go to places that won't just toss out the cases. Pawn shops, garage sales, perhaps even local mom and pop type game stores. Frankly I'm looking forward to Gamestop dropping ps2 trade-ins.

I don't really have anything to say, I just wanted to join the "blue club".

I suppose I could talk about how I managed to find a sealed copy of Guitar Hero Smash Hits at EB today, despite their attempts to thwart me. The online site claimed that none were in stock within 100km radius.

Whenever I shop at GS the clerk asks me to fill out a customer survey later on. Has anyone ever actually done this? If so, did you get any repsonse? I had a negative experience today and would like to inform the company of this.

Yes, I have. Never heard back before, even though I've complained about how disorganized my store is.

I got an email from them. They're giving me 50 Kongregate points for free (could care less about that one), a digital copy of January's Game Informer, and a $5 off a used game coupon. And I don't even have the pay account, I just have the free PowerUp Rewards card. I know it's not much, but it's still cool. Except for Nintendo, I don't see any other companies giving me anything for Christmas.

I'm not sure I care about any of those gifts. I mean, $5 off of a $40 dollar game is ok and all (it specified an amount, not just any used game), but it's not that good.

It was $30 for me.
