Hey all, having a few issues with my setup at the moment. Did a lot of research before biting the bullet and buying some gear, unfortunately I've obviously missed something.
Currently I'm running my N64 into a 3 way scart selector then using a scart to component cable into my Sony Trinitron. I get audio just fine but no video. I know the N64 can't output RGB, I just bought a scart cable that carries composite so that all my systems are running into the selector for neatness sake (ocd!).
Any thoughts on where I'm messing up?
** custom n64 cable came from eBay seller adapter man in the UK, definitely got a solid rep.
Setup issues.
Re: Setup issues.
European and Japanese scart leads are different, maybe the same in audio but not video?

^^ My Available List ^^
My B/S/T list
I also rent and sell PS2, Wii and XBOX softmod-kits and I collect DVD movies let me know what you have.
Re: Setup issues.
Thanks for the reply but I think i've got it figured, need a RGB to YUV transcoder, can anyone suggest a model/place to buy? I was looking at the CSY2100 but Australian sellers want $150...
Re: Setup issues.
Not to steer too far off topic, but how well does this work for you? I'd love to have quality component from some of my older consoles.
Re: Setup issues.
It works amazing in the sense that I can't find anything wrong with the picture whatsoever ex. no colors being off, no video issues etc. Works as perfectly as I could ever wish for.

Hasn't arrived yet, will do a mini review when it comes in. Dogman91 are you using this with a CRT or a HDTV?

CRT of course!
edit: Remember that N64 can't output RGB so you will still get no video from that console unless you RGB mod it. There's RGB-modded N64 consoles for sale on places like eBay if you don't want to mod. If you're set on it being only composite I would say simply plug the N64 in another input on the TV using a standard Nintendo A/V cable and leave it there! There's also S-video cables for N64 that don't require a transcoder.

I have the same one. Colors aren't EXACTLY perfect, but you can open the thing up and adjust some pots if you're not totally happy with it.
I love it. My only complaint is that I wish it passed the audio out to RCA jacks.

Got mine today, colours are mildly off but I sorted it via the TV's colour adjustment menu. Totally hear you on the audio issue but it's not too much of a hassle to deal with, SCART lead I have for my SNES has left and right break out cables. Love this little device, it's fantastic. The picture is so crisp!
