2) Where are the cabs? What kind?

3) Constructive feedback - build/buy some more customized shelving for the games - all that extra space in front of the games detracts aesthetically (the console shelving is cool though).

4) Some quality boxed SNES/N64 stuffs, and granted, cell phone pics - but they appear to be very nice shape. Nice job.

Haha thanks everyone! This is the culmination of 26 years of collecting. I couldn't figure out a way to store systems and over the years, I figured the storage solution on tipping them sideways to store worked best. Even the cheapest Walmart shelves that I used are $20. So....thats $150 in shelving alone.... When I moved in, those shelves were sitting in the garage so I figured mounting them on the wall next to the TV would be ideal.

1. I live south of the Twin Cities.
2. These kind:

The game room is on the second floor, even if I were to afford the space, carrying them up the stairs is a deal breaker.

3. I wish I had a better shelving option for my budget and a reaaaallly long shelf is not ideal for the shear amount I have. I don't plan on being done with my collection...ever... so that space will get used.
4. Most of them came from my glory days of managing a used game store. 90% of my paycheck went back into that place. Plus since I was in charge, I got to take the choice selections of mint box, manual, cart. Sometimes, I'd mix and match, other times I'd hold on to one until a better piece came in. That was in 1998-1999 so that was prime N64 market.

Nice collection! Vectrex 8)
I really like how the consoles are too. For some reason it reminds me of one of those Japanese stores.

I back noise. Add retro themed toys and collectibles in front of games. This is as long as they're not overwhelming. I feel like the less it looks like game storage, the cooler it is, but then again I'm more a of a minimalist. Ironic in on a collection forum.

Hah, that Vectrex was a steal on ebay. $25. No joke. They didn't know what they had. I have some more toys and collectables around, but my kid likes to sneak in and rearrange stuff and I end up with a pile of toys in my room. Wouldn't want this guy to get trashed...

Also did you notice the random toys here and there?

Haha! Thanks man! Something about them in those danky corners in the arcade that seemed to attract them...and they were so cool. I forgot about them in recent years until a local guy was selling them at a sacrifice. The one on the right was a conversion cab that housed who knows how many games. It had Raiden in it with a Raiden Fighters Marquee. Took those out and put in Raiden 2 stuff. Seemed redundant to have two copies of the same game...

^He was just flirting, that's all.

I just got a Raiden II PCB, that's a solid solid game, nice choice for sure.

I often wonder if the gamestore workers picked the cherry stuff  Not that I blame you at all. Sorta like working at a strip club and knowing which girls are "normal", and which girls will cut you. It's important to know the inventory and act accordingly.

South of the cities - that's a hike then, almost 3 hours - so prob no arcade meetups anytime soon.

Yeah, its hard not to pick through the stocks when you're a collector. I've worked at quite a few video game stores actually and everyone added a huge chunk to my collection. Two or three times a person would walk in and trade in their collection for some reason or another and 95% would end up being added to the treasure trove. Where do you live? Bemiji? Brainerd?

Aw man. Maybe one day I'll get the band to play out there... I found some old posters and such that I didn't realize I had, but my History of Home Consoles poster I really wish I still had...

Raiden II is a fan-freaking-tastic game. I spent many quarters on that one at the local pizza parlor when I was growing up. And far as I know, it's never been ported to home-console. I'm very jealous.
