Its not that I dislike toys r us. Its just that the store here has been ravaged by other customers. This store is on the border so many come over from mexico to get some deals here that would be outrageously priced back in mexico. I have had some good deals here in the past as well. There are still things there I'm keeping an eye on.BoneSnapDeez wrote:@flojocabron
Toys R Us is totally underrated. To me, it seems like most people who shop there are adults buying games for their kids, so the more "hardcore" titles get lost in the shuffle and eventually end up in the discount bin. Which is good for people like us: last time I was there I spotted several sealed copies of Phantasy Star Portable and Baroque for $9.99.
Incidentally, I also picked up a copy of X-Blades one of the last times I was at Toys R Us, for $4.99 I think.

Wow $5 - I'd definitely pick up Pilot Wings for that. I wonder if they finally dropped Madden Football to $5 for the 3DS as well (that's my price point

With no multiplayer modes, I'm not sure it's worth even that.retrosportsgamer wrote:Wow $5 - I'd definitely pick up Pilot Wings for that. I wonder if they finally dropped Madden Football to $5 for the 3DS as well (that's my price point)
I picked it up on eBay for $10.60, then was able to trade it in at GameStop for $13 when their 50% extra trade-in credit deal was happening. Don't regret it even a bit.

I just had to add it to my collection, I loved the Nintendo 64 version and this one is good too.
The deal was for only 1 day. =/vlame wrote: didn't see em lol!

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Hey all, long time reader, first time poster here.
Thought I'd brag a bit about a couple of things I found on Tuesday of this week. I have this little "rivalry" between myself and another board member here named Mechblue. So whenever I have a chance to score something locally before him, it makes my day. LOL.
Anyway, at a pawn shop in town here I snagged an Atari Jaguar CD attachment, with a few games that actually look like they've never been played (The 4 packin's - Myst Demo, Vid Grid, Blue Lightning, Tempest 2000 soundtrack, Dragon's Lair and Space Ace sealed, and a complete boxed copy of Alien vs Predator) 2 jag controllers and the Jag link cable for $30 bucks.
I asked the guy what else he might have, and wouldn't you know it? He pulls out a mint copy of Pikmin 2. Tells me $10 on that. Then he pulls out a sealed copy of Conker's Bad Fur Day (where the heck did the guy get this stuff?) He tells me $10 on that. I asked him if I took it all, would he do $40? He went $45 for everything. Couldn't believe it. Then he tossed in one of those Legend of Zelda lithographs that came with Phantom Hourglass. Talk about a score.
Suddenly, I don't feel so bad about paying $130 or so for a good copy of Chrono Trigger.
