No seriously, they're known for taking a stand. Who knows?

Ah all right. Doubt it would make much of a dent though, like with anything else.
I'd like to think that it would go the other way. If this internet censorship bullshit becomes law, many people would boycott the companies responsible.

Americans boycott? Heh, what a clever oxymoron.

Go Daddy - Are they insane? How can they not realize the headache and bullshit it would cause?
That is a head scratcher. Maybe they've figured out a way to profit from the headache and bullshit. Can they charge a fee to the government to block a domain? Maybe they figure people will hop domain hosts more often which will give them opportunities? Hard to say.
I saw this, and here's my theory:

What will happen when these "rogue websites" get their URLs taken down? They'll either deal with it or get new URLs. Who would they get a new URL from? A domain name registrar. Who is the biggest domain name registrar in the world? Go Daddy.

So if this goes through, Go Daddy, as they see it, stands to profit off of all this bullshit.

They forgot Nintendo of America unless the company has recently had a change or heart on the issue. But last I heard Nintendo absolutely 100% strongly supports SOPA. If you write to Nintendo opposing SOPA, you will get this form letter in reply. Try it, it's fun! They think Congress can find a balance. They must not know much about Congress. I don't think they read the e-mails, they just see "SOPA" and send out the auto-reply. My e-mail to them addressed issues with their form-letter response.

Well Nintendo's point in that reply isn't wrong. But like many large corporations and names behind the bill they don't get that SOPA is worded to do much more damage to the internet as a whole and won't just stop bold face criminals.

I know, but it doesn't seem that Nintendo is willing to listen or be educated if their form reply is any indication.

Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft and EA have apparently removed their names from the list of companies that support this bill:
