companies producing best games

Post by Dude »

Which companies (EA Sports, Mumbo Jumbo, etc) do think are producing the best games? If you're referring to a particular system please note that too.

I wouldn't let either of those companies anywhere near any "best" lists. Ever.

Well it's easy to make the "best" games when you're a monopoly. I miss the days of 8 bit/16 bit sports games when we were getting quality Japanese titles by Jaleco, Tecmo, etc.

But to answer the original question: Atlus and XSeed!!!!!!!!!!!

When I buy a title based on the game producer, they have to have an absolute steady stream of nothing but awesome.

Capcom - Mid 90's
Atlus - Late 90's

Right now, i'm really liking (and buying anything w/the logo) XSEED.

I first enjoyed Victorious Boxers and then loved Ivy the Kiwi. I've since bought and enjoyed Fragile Dreams and Little King's Story.

They are also linked to games by Ignition Entertainment (Rune Factory, Muramasa the Demon Blade), not sure if they are producer or developer on those titles.

They arent a monopoly. They are a license holder. Just like other licensed games have sole licenses to their IPs

^I think he means a monopoly on sports games. While it's not quite true, there isn't that much competition out there at all.

it is basically them and 2k... It is expensive genre to get into, and hard to stay in with the well established franchises.
