noiseredux wrote:haha yeah, no. Gungnir is the FOURTH game in the Dept Heaven series. (Well, technically it's the fifth game in the series, but the third game isn't out yet -- if that makes sense).

I really want to see Gungnir released in the US and hopefully whatever the third game is as well, so that all five games are available -- preferably all on UMD. (Though, I'd actually love it if there was an eventaul PS3 Dept Heaven compilation of all five games).
Ohhhhhhhh okay I gotcha, so it's one of those confusing as hell series where none of the games actually contain the name of the series in the title. Kind of like the old Falcom Dragon Slayer series (Dragon Slayer, Xanadu, Romancia, Legacy of the Wizard, Sorcerian, and others). I owned some of those games for years before I realized they were related.

yes. And more confusing is every game is even kind of a different genre.

1.1 Episode I: Riviera
1.2 Episode II: Yggdra Union
1.3 Episode III
1.4 Episode IV: Knights in the Nightmare
1.5 Episode IX: Gungnir: Inferno of the Demon Lance and the War of Heroes

supposeldy Ep3 will be a MMORPG. Hopefully it won't just be PC. That would be weird since the other 4 were on PSP. Jeez, even on PS3 would be awesome.

Imagine if they released Ep3 on PS3 along with a PS3 compilation of the other 4 games?

oh, BTW to make it more confusing -- Yggdra Union actually had sequels/prequel as well. Haha. I don't think any of them have come to US though.

Damn that is confusing, especially with no number 3. Riviera, Yggdra Union (still need to get this), and Knights are all great games. I have no interest in MMORPGs though. :?

something tells me a Dept Heaven MMORPG would be nothing like the MMORPGs you're thinking of.

I have played Riviera and Yggdra Union on GBA and Knights in the Knightmare for DS. I wouldn't mind a psp version is released, but hope a 3ds version isn't too far off.

I have the first 3 on PSP myself, so I just want the others to match aesthetically.

 I see what you mean man. I want to keep them in line with them being with Ninty handheld series. At least we want to play a localized copy. Maybe later on I can still pick up a cheap psp 1000 to replay some of my PSP games like N+ and Motorstorm again. I despised my 3000 for being too light and having a cheap feel to it.

That's okay, the DS, GBA, and PSP are all very different systems. I would buy more ports if I had the cash.

Now, people who buy Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the same game....... that I don't get.
