Good point, the psx did get more releases here. So, the saturn may win there. From my perspective, shmups are hard to do with hidden gems. It seems you either know about em all, or barely any.
TFV is still better on the ps1 imo.
(not the wd port, mind you) but hey, its all opinion.

I didn't feel like reading through 9 pages of posts, but Intelligent Cube and Clock Tower were games you should play. But stay away from CT 2
