Almost all of the junk will fade to time or the most arcane corners of the Internet (legislation allowing). Much of the good stuff will be republished by its owner(s). Or remade, expanded, ported, compiled. I do not think most of the gems will disappear.

Yes, we'll probably have to rebuy.

I know for a fact you can get most of the downloadable Xbox 360 games online and play them on a JTagged console, so I would think you could do the same with a hacked Wii. Or am I wrong?
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

...Sold!...

While I am joking it will probably come to that...
Except that you can buy a bit.trip runner Complete disc.

Ha! Didn't even realize this was an old thread. I should really start checking the dates on these things.

In fact I sold a DSi with much DSiware exactly as you suggest. I took pictures of all the games it had, added up the value in Nintendo Points, and had a couple people bid up to a pretty fair ending price that did reflect the DSiware tied to the console.

Yes, you can install .wad files and install VC and WW games fairly easily. I think the Wii was the easiest softmod I have ever attempted, so easy that I have modded 4 Wiis just this week.

... in the future I will start a money empire off of downloadable games by preying on the innocent....

Tetris is pretty much the only good WiiWare game anyway.
