Gamestop 25% off Wii Finds
I picked up a couple uncommon games I have been keeping eye on. Gamestop is having one day sales thru the Holidays.

Mini Coptor Adventure Flight - $5.39
I am a nut for PS1 RC Stunt Coptor. I love the realistic controls of the Cyclic, Collective, Rotor and Throttle to keep a Helo steady. The PS1 version is so hard that "Training Wheel Bounce Brackets" can be added to your chopper. Knowing that any Wii Classic Controller game can be made to work with my PS1 Digital Arcade Stick, I had to get it. The difficult controls are a good thing, makes for a realistic simulation.

Since they're just going to throw it out, they've always given me the case when I've asked. You can then try to find the disc at another GS or eBay anyway.
I went on the hunt after looking at the Gamestop site for stores that carried the game. Only three local stores, maybe in generic cases or none with a manual? The first store could not find Mini Coptor Adventure but had the case and manual. The employee let me get it for free. Second store same situation, this time I asked the employee to look at all the yellow envelopes under all the letters Mini, Coptor, Aventure and Flight. The game disc was buried in the N section.

Lost in Shadow - $12.14
Blah Ha Ha! I have been wanting to try this game out for quite some time, always held off because of the price and 2d style with just a shadow for a game character. I love ICO and this game seemed to be influenced by it, even the game start sound affect is identical! Amazed Hudson managed to get this on market with all the obvious similarities to the PS2 classic. Interesting concept and the fairy creature is a lot more helpful then Yorda. Wild how both alternate helpers are used to unlock a passage.

Okay this is not made by Team Ico but an uncanny resemblance to ICO, even the name from Shadow of the Colossus. Sony also has a shadow game on PSN titled Limbo. I just hope this Hudson Wii game does not get shut down due to the similarities.

CRTGAMER wrote: That is sweet, the PAL version is the best with Japanese dialog and English subtitles. Really seems to add to an authentic mood of Shenmue.

Believe it or not I bought mine years ago from a Gamestop right here in the U.S. A stack of them only in one store, maybe the manager got permission to do a trial run to see if imports were marketable.
Sure is! I saw that on the GameSack video featuring the Shenmue series, and I was SO happy to see the PAL version presented like that. I have other US Dreamcast games that have Japanese voices and English subtitles like Tech Romancer, which really gives that game an awesome feel. I understand the official US version on the Xbox has the same voice actors from the first DC game but you can only put up with enough "I see"s there

A game that good and that legendary and an import at that, at a GAMESTOP? Oh my -- but you also said YEARS AGO

It always upset me the US never got the sequel on DC, but now I can finally experience it, and I've heard good things about it!

CRTGAMER, you are really lucking out at GameStop lately. You must have a pretty quality GS around you, I wouldn't dare buy used disc games at mine, they are scratched to hell more often than not. I've either had to return or resurface every disc game I've purchased from them. Now the only used games I buy at that GS are DS.

Last week was Marvel vs. Capcom 2 week for me.

On Saturday, December 10, I picked up a copy of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the Xbox from a local pawn shop for a cool $3. The case looked like it had passed through every GameStop on the east coast, but the disc was in fine shape and the manual - with the exception of a small crease on the top right corner of the cover page - was also in good condition. I the stickers off of the case and insert, and I was very happy to add that game to my Xbox collection.

The next Saturday, December 17, my brother gave me a copy of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the PS2. The game and the case are in great shape, but it is missing the manual.

In any event, I acquired two different ports of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for a total of only $3, and I am very happy to check that game off of my Xbox and PS2 want lists. (Now, if I can just convince my brother to give me back the mint Dreamcast port that I gave him a few years ago, I would be all set.)

I don't even buy used DS games at Gamestop anymore since they are cart only. Fuuuuuuuuu

Nice Finds! Very lucky to get both for two different consoles!

Sometimes when there are multiple copies, the employee will pull them all for me to inspect. They know I want CIB with a clean disc. I'll even buy a scratched disc if it is CIB, then go to another Gamestop to swap for a clean disc. In the case of Ikaruga the other day the disc only was immaculate, went to another Gamestop to get the case and manual. Sometimes I spend more in gas then the value of the game.
