Yes. It is a bit dated, but you can find my thread on the first or second page of the game rooms & home theater sub-forum.samsonlonghair wrote:That's a beautiful setup coloradog1. Do you have a thread to show off your gameroom? If you don't, please make one.
I just received the joytech selector I mentioned earlier in the thread. I haven't had time yet to plug everything in and try it out. One thing I've been wondering: If I kill the power switch, will the joytech selector forget the names of all my consoles?

Re: Need a av receiver for all my consoles
what I'm trying to find is a nice switch box with multiple inputs (namely component AND composite. Though any others like S-Video, VGA or HDMI would be nice too). And I want it to output to VGA preferably. Anybody got any suggestions?

Re: Need a av receiver for all my consoles
I have six consoles in my TV stand. Three are hooked up to the TV all the time (2 AV, 1 RF) and generally I can only plug two into the power strip (mainly because the PC Engine Duo AC adapter is HUGE).
I've considered getting one of these AV receivers, but tell me this guys.... How the hell do you manage all the wires?! It's already a jungle with just my three hooked up.

God you should see what I have going on with just 4 consoles at a time!BoneSnapDeez wrote:I have six consoles in my TV stand. Three are hooked up to the TV all the time (2 AV, 1 RF) and generally I can only plug two into the power strip (mainly because the PC Engine Duo AC adapter is HUGE).

Shhhheeeeiiiiitttt...... Is there a computer hooked up there too or something?
I get concerned about tangling my cables and get really worried about my tiny little baby Wii sensor bar wire.
Still beats what I used to do (one console hooked up at once).

Yeah, a PC, Wii, Dreamcast, Ps3, and a Scart to Component adapter. And there's an AV receiver stuck in the middle of all those too, but I only pass audio through it.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Shhhheeeeiiiiitttt...... Is there a computer hooked up there too or something?

Either one of the two switch boxes I mentioned on page one will handle component AND composite AND s-video. Neither will run VGA nor HDMI. Remember: the switch boxes don't change the signal from one format to another; they just select a source.noiseredux wrote:what I'm trying to find is a nice switch box with multiple inputs (namely component AND composite.
