Devil May Cry HD Collection coming in early 2012

I might buy this if the original Devil May Cry gets a bit of an upgrade beyond visuals. Having played the third game first, it makes it very awkward to go back to the first one with its semi-fixed cameras.

If you find DMC's cameras awkward, you'll hate the God of War games.

But the HD Collections are enhanced ports instead of remakes so I'm not sure why you should have both unless the HD version has some glaring flaw.

Yeah I know, and I agree, but seeing the cases lined up on my shelf with their PS2 brethren looks so nice.

I understand the collector's aspect, I was arguing against Gamerforlife's point.
Hell, if a Ratchet and Clank PS2 Compilation comes out, I'll probably keep my PS2 originals.

I'm not sure whether or not I'm going to keep my PS2 copies or not. There's no reason to really, and the clutter reduction would be awesome, but I don't want to part with my original copies. Same thing going on with the MGS HD Collection coming out.

I'm going to keep MGS2 and 3 when the collection comes out. I'll keep 3 because Snake vs Monkey won't be in the HD collection, and 2 because it's nearly worthless. It'll be even more worthless next month. I'm not sure about Peace Walker yet, still on the fence.

probably... I think I could get each PS2 version for $5ish. But then again a nice single-disc HD release sounds kind of awesome.

I still need the Metal Gear collection, too.

I have never played these games except the demo of the 4th one (Which I hated). I hear a lot of people say that the first one was the only good one. Is this true? Also what is this game like? Is it like Ninja Gaiden or more like God of War?
