^is that LCFW? I don't think I want permanent. At any rate, I'm staying on OFW at least until after the 7 days to test if I can get download from PSN or not.

You can install it as a LCFW or a permanent one.noiseredux wrote:^is that LCFW? I don't think I want permanent. At any rate, I'm staying on OFW at least until after the 7 days to test if I can get download from PSN or not.

Re: Another PSP fw update (a "should I do it?" thread)
I consider the "Pro" firmwares a little more than LCFW (more like LCFW+). It installs file(s) to the PSP's internal flash (I don't know all the details, but that's the gist of it).
If you just want a pure, basic LCFW without changing anything that can be detected by Sony, then I think your only options are HBL or downgrading to 6.20 and using TN-E.
6.20 TN was what I was using, until I decided that I really wanted to play my Power Stone Collection and DracX Chronicles (extra games) from a memory stick.

...just another lost soul...

PRO installs aftermarket modules into flash0. Which essentially allows for the LCFW to be quick started whenever you wont.nightrnr wrote:I consider the "Pro" firmwares a little more than LCFW (more like LCFW+). PRO is incredibly safe to install and is light years better then any other LCFW out there or any CFW for that matter.

Oh, I totally agree. Pro is the best option for my PSP 3000 model. I like it a lot.LentFilms wrote: PRO installs aftermarket modules into flash0. Which essentially allows for the LCFW to be quick started whenever you wont.

But it also seems that it might be responsible for issues with PSN content. If PSN is still relevant and important to a user, a "lighter" CFW (one that doesn't install mudules to flash0) might be a better option.

I've never had problems with PSN... then again I never sigh into PSN with my PSP, I always use my PS3 to download whatever I need then transfer it to my PSP from there.nightrnr wrote: But it also seems that it might be responsible for issues with PSN content. Either way Pro is definitely worth the risk no matter what. If there's even a risk there at all, I've never heard of this happening to anyone because of Pro

I think the issues me and Opa are encountering are pretty new.LentFilms wrote:I've never heard of this happening to anyone because of Pro

I'm still sticking with the "no psp's left on my account" explanation.
