I just want to say way to go everybody. The auction went pretty well, the podcast was very enjoyable (I should have called) and I'm feeling good about the whole thing.

And thank you dsheinem, for all the effort you put into this stuff. It wouldn't be the same without you.

$1348, awesome.

So, who are you going to ask to be interviewed, Yoshi?

Game Gavel slow-rolled us there.

Podcast was a great idea though.
definitely! lots of fun :)
I've had a blast being on there. It's fun doing my own podcast, but it's a different beast being a "guest" with a podcast that I'm familiar with. Great job with it, dsh! :)

What I won:
  • Guest Director of the Racketboy Podcast - $66.01
  • Pac-Man T-shirt (size L) - $9.50
  • Civilization 4 (PC) - $5.00
  • 10 Major League Gaming Canada stickers - $1.00
So a total of $81.01. $20 less than I spent last year, but that auction had Nathan Barnatt signed stuff. :P

I'm going to keep that a secret for now, but if I get my way, no one on Racketboy will be disappointed.

hip hip hooray and all that! i'm glad i was able to donate as much as i could this year. i know there weren't a ton of "big-ticket" items in here but i think we did pretty well with what we had. i'm going to make a conscious effort throughout this year to set aside stuff for the auction.

i love this thing, i seriously look forward to it every year. thanks, racketboy, for bringing a little joy to my life on an otherwise gloomy december :)

My rather short list of wins:

Lotus II
Supaboy!

For a total of 76.50. Not a huge number, but I think it was alright.

Hey, the Charity Auction last year was pretty much the reason I joined RB. Hopefully this first year with GameGavel will make things easier on the years to come.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Here's what I won:

Runner-up on the podcast at $65.01 -- was going to go higher but the rolling bid thing was not what I thought. Congrats to Yoshi - he'll have a great show (sounds awesome already).

Won:

World Series Baseball (j) for the Saturn - no clue why I felt the need to have another version of the same game (outside of charity), but the case art looked cool.

Golden Tee Plug n Play - I talked about this on the podcast a bit.

NBA Elite '11 Lanyard - a piece of retro sports gaming history right there.

Quickshot 2600 joystick - I used to have one of these for the C64.

2010 FIFA World Cup PS3 - Don't play soccer games normally but liked jumping in on the World Cup version rather than a random FIFA year.

Sega Genesis - Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II and MLBPA Baseball - MLBPA was a game I gave a cousin 15 years ago and never got back.

A lot cheaper than having the game.

I actually decided to throw my max at a higher point than that after my bid to take the lead. You would've been setting down over $80 to win it. And I probably would've gone higher.

I won the SFC cart of Link to the Past, and retrosportsgamer's baseball game lot, which I bid on pretty much exclusively for the Ken Griffey Jr. game.
