History Repeats Itself
Spotted a post on not the PS1, but the PS2 DUAL ANALOG! These were for sale for a short time at Wallymart during the vibration motor lawsuit. No extra feature such as a third mode as in the PS1 DUAL ANALOG, but still a nice collectable!
Anyone remember when the Yellow PS2 controller display packages were blue? There could have been some rarities on that peg hook!

No, that controller exists. It was packaged in a blue package. The only place I know of that sold them was Walmart. I remember them being around only for a few weeks. The model number is SCPH-10520 I suspect that Walmart pulled a GameQuestDirect on that one and they didn't sell.

Picked this up at Wal-Mart yesterday for 14.95 USD. It's a (new?) Sony-branded budget PS2 controller without rumble motors. I haven't seen this before and couldn't find any existing info on it. Besides the missing motors it's somewhat different internally than previous DS2 pads I've seen.
NOTE THE LACK OF MOTORS IN THE EXPOSED SHELL BELOW.Lum wrote:http://assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34268
Likely it was because of that Immersion law suit. Since these appeared around 2007. Sony went through the effort to not only remove the motors, but issue a new name and model number. They're not called Dual Shock 2. Just plain Analog Controller.
Dual Shock 2 was yes the original 2000 pack in, being a far lower SCPH-10010.
