I had a great Arkanoid cart and vaus controller lined up all week on ebay - got distraced and then scooped at the last minute. I am cursed in trying to get this game lately.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Dang it, Jmustang! I wanted that SoR3, but it definitely was rough. Glad you got it at a good price. Tell me, do you (or Hobie) ever run into Jaguar or Saturn stuff at flea markets? I -never- find either, even at TV.
On a side local note, I really wish I had jumped on the CL post for the Neo Geo system. I can't believe I let that slip away
Any chance y'all want to do a meet and greet on the first? We'll hit up a few places, and heck, maybe a little swapping. Lmk through a thread or pm if y'all are interested.

Hobie-wan wrote:incominggame wrote:After your comment on genesis games, I checked a few of my games and I have some like that too. I never noticed before. I don't want to derail the thread, but is there a reason for those missing pins? Was it to reduce production cost?
Not all games used all of the pins. For instance games that weren't RPGs and didn't save data might not need certain pins to read and write the memory chip. So later cart board batches they'd make ones that didn't have those pins at all. As you guessed, it was to save money. That .0001 cent saved on the metal and gold plating per cart doesn't seem like much, but it adds up if there are a million carts that use that particular board.
Thanks for your explanation Hobie-wan, I appreciate it.

On topic, I bought Advance Wars : Dual Strike from EB games (canada) for 2.99$. Unfortunately, it's missing the manual.
