[PS360PC] Renegade Ops (spiritual successor to Jackal?)

Post by wip3outguy7 »

Video.

I really enjoyed the demo so I took the plunge and bought the full game last night. Really cool twin stick shooter. 2 player split screen co-op and 4 player online co-op with 4 character classes.

Looks like fun. Although from that video I had a hard time tracking what they were shooting at.
Thanks everyone...

Same here, I found the demo enjoyable and purchased the full game. Its a great pick up and play game.Ive yet to try co op but i can see how well it would work.
The levels do look stunning and the cut scenes are a nice style.Levelling up and various weapons keep it feeling fresh and give it some depth.

This looks like a hoot! 4-player online co-op has sold me.

4 player co-op is a blast. I played quite a bit last night. There are all kinds of secrets and side objectives. I found myself breaking away from the pack to explore the stages and look for hidden treasure, giving me a higher end score and more upgrade points. If you pay close attention you can find hidden crates with helicopters, allowing you to take to the sky.

I have been alternating between Diz and Gunner. Gunner's heavy turret special is devastating against heavily armored enemies. Diz's EMP spark is a great support special that can keep your team alive.

Let me know if you guys pick it up on PS3 and want to play online. It's very easy to loose hours to this one.

A patch was released 12/13. It supposedly fixes some graphical glitches and game crashing bugs. The physics properties of some of the vehicles appear to have been altered slightly, too. Gunnar's jeep is more difficult to flip now, for example.

Assault Heroes is a good game for 400msp, too. Very similar twin-stick shooter
