Rock Band

Rock Band

Anybody got it?

More specifically, did anyone else other than myself pay the extortionate price for Rock Band in the UK?

I paid £150 for the full set. (Wasn't that bad as i've just sold the first three Guitar Heros for PS2 with guitars for £90, can't see myself playing them anymore now that i've got Rock Band and that i've done every song on 100% on expert, except for the last tier on GH3 which nobody has done yet!)

Definitely no. I liked Guitar Hero but I'm a lone player for most of the time and I just like the guitar and the bass, so Rock Band has no appeal for me whatsoever. Also, the price is just ludicrous.

I just got Rock Band, wasn't too bad price-wise as my other half works at GAME and got a discount. Plus we traded in a bunch of old games, in total we only paid £55. That was split between us as well. The depressing thing is that our 360 red ringed and is still out for repair, so the box of instruments is sat collecting dust.

Ouch, unlucky.

After about 7 hours of play yesterday our 'band' (The Gaybashers. We're not homophobic btw, we just thought it would be ironic to have an anti-gay title and make the gayest looking characters we could) experienced a 'disk is unreadable' error. I crapped my pants and half expected a RRoD. I just turned it off for ten mins and it came back on. Thank god. It then trooped along for another 5 hours. Haven't played it today but i'll be working through the drum solo tour tonight on hard.

It's a great concept, but I'd never use half the stuff. Guitar Hero is great cause it's mostly just me and my lady playing.

I play guitars and vocals (at the same time) in a 'band' with my girlfriend on drums. When my friend is over, I do guitar and he plays bass and sings, with my girlfriend on the drums.

It's possible to do a decent band with any set up really. If you have compatible GH guitars it's definately worth getting the game on it's own I think. Any USB mic will work with it too.

I got it... except EA made the most shoddy instruments possible and now, (in fact, after only a week for a drums, and a DAY for the guitar) the only thing that works is the mike.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?

Its pointless, it makes nerds feel cool but to people that actually play an instrument (bass & acoustic guitar, violen, viola, cello) its just stupid, the timings all off and it doesnt feel like really playing the music at all. Its just another gimmik in my eyes, just like the Wiimote.
