I dunno, man. That Kano "Test Your Might" shot looks pretty cheesy
It is a shame that the project was cancelled though. Would have been interesting to see/play the final product

Well it is digitized actors and it is a game series that's always had a bit of a b-movie vibe to it anyway. Cheesy is kinda what I'd expect (and want) for this. Besides, iirc those weren't going to be the final actor shots or something.
I imagine this probably would've at least been far better than the shitty collection we actually did get.

Well they wouldn't have had to do much for that to happen. What we did get was one of the more disappointing offerings lately. But we got Guardian Heroes, so i guess you have to take the bitter with the sweet.

Well, at least the patch for the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection is supposed to be coming soon. Ed Boon tweeted that he was hoping to have it out by Thanksgiving... so maybe it'll drop in the next couple days? That would be nice. I just don't understand what's taking them so damn long to fix the online code in the first place

It's not just the online code, even offline the games are littered with bugs.
But yeah, hoping to see the patch soon too.

I would have preferred these to be SNES ports rather than arcade ports. Sure the graphics look better but you can't beat the SNES gameplay.

Arcade versions look prettier but they're too hard. I also prefer the snes music.
Re: Mortal Kombat HD Remake - Coming Soon?
The arcade version, and usually the ports, have the same difficulty settings (very easy, easy, medium, hard, very hard). Maybe they were tweaked a little on the SNES so that very easy was easier (or something like that) but if very easy isn't easy enough for you...
I think the PS2 port of MKII (on Shaolin Monks and whatever other compilation(s) it was on) didn't have a feature to set the difficulty so it was stuck on (I'm guessing) medium. The MKII port on PSN allowed you to change the difficulty setting though.
I've said it before and I'll say it again... Honestly, how fucking hard is it to get an arcade-PERFECT port of MKII on something like the PS3? They came really close with the PSN version... then took a step back? I don't get it!

Well the Ps2 version of Mortal Kombat II (at least on Midway Arcade Treasures 2) technically had options to adjust the difficulty, but they didn't actually do anything. Probably just laziness on midway's part, as a lot of aspects of that compilation were rather sloppy.
