Yeesh. I'm enjoying the game but it's like they didn't even test the driving bits. I also had to look up how to get out of the damn things since I have it in steam and don't seem to even have a PDF manual available to me. Even looking at the key assignments doesn't tell me how.

You'll be fine as long as you aren't OCD enough to try and do ALL the sidequests, as that would necessitate you doing a lot more driving than you are right now. (I'm talking about tertiary sidequests)

Haha, no I'm screwed there. The only quest I don't plan on doing so far is the gambling cheat guy in the Citadel. As long as there aren't too many bits like the skyway in Feros where you're trying to dodge shots and end up bouncing off I'll manage with the driving.

Taking another small break from Final Fantasy IX to play my new, spiffy Breath of Fire III (finally, all the PS1 games I was emulating, except Symphony of the Night, I now have in full disc form).

When I can afford it again. :/ I might be going out the country, so that's eating into my video game budget right now.

After sinking hours and hours into Dragon Warrior III earlier this year, I swore off RPGs for a while. I just picked Mario & Luigi - Bowser's Inside Story out of my collection, however, and I have been hooked ever since I put it into my DS. I played through Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga a few years ago and really enjoyed it; so, I think that I am in for a good time with this game as well.

If you don't mind me asking, what about it made you swear off RPG's for a while? Was about to start playing this.

Don't take my message the wrong way. Dragon Warrior III (GBC) is an AWESOME game, and it is likely my favorite 8-bit turn-based RPG. In fact, I enjoyed the game so much that I intentionally held off playing through the bonus dungeons so that I can come back to the game next year, change each of my characters' classes, level them all back up to level 50 or so, and then embark on the hardest dungeons in the game with my new, completed upgraded party. I highly recommend that you play it.

Anyway, I swore off RPGs because I sunk a ton of hours into DWIII, and I felt that I needed to take break with some different genres before diving back into another 40+ hour quest. I cleansed my palate with Metal Slug 7 (NDS); so, I guess that I am back to it.
