I've had that from a lot of japanese sellers and I've had it the other way around with American sellers ><

Amazon market place needs to find a way to have sellers be able to post pics of the exact items for sale, I would buy a lot more often. Maybe if it's too much work to change the format, just add in a little button link that you can click to view a picture the seller uploaded, if any.

Random question: I know there's region free DVD players, but are there any DVD players out there that will give you full control with a disc. As in, being able to skip or use the menu button during a warning screen when "this operation is prohibited by the disc." I know you can break and/or take out those restrictions when you rip a DVD, but I wonder if there's a DVD player that will ignore those restrictions with retail DVDs.

Indeed. I've found stuff there I might buy, but no picture and a lacking description and I just move on usually.

There is a program called DVD Region Free for PC that lets you do that, but not sure about standalone players.

I took a gamble on a master system game from an amazon seller recently though, and I was surprised by how good the condition was. I saved money on it too, although that seems to be a rarity on amazon marketplace. How many time's have I seen The Legend of Zelda for £50+ or something similarly stupid

My standards for condition aren't super-high when it comes to cartridges. I mean, dirty carts can be cleaned easily and some label scuffs don't bother me much. If it comes down to it, I can always replace the label myself anyhow.

If the seller is using a stock photo, but has high ratings and says the condition is good and the price is right, I'll go for it.

I order carts from Amazon often, but when I want something in good-great condition, I usually stay away. I mean, this one time I bought a SNES cart from Amazon, it came in the mail in PERFECT condition, even with a case and manual. BUT it was the Genesis version of the same game I ordered! A pictured would have helped, the seller honestly just didn't know a SNES from a Genesis.

Yeah, I have some various software that'll let me do that, but I was wondering about those features in an actual stand along DVD player. If I had to guess, I'd say that some region free players have those features. But I'm just guessing.

This is a bit late, but for Thanksgiving, I was thankful for subtitles :) because living in a world with strictly raw or dub would make me absolutely miserable.

I told my co-worker that I bought a Wii.

His response was simply, "Why?"

I think that every Bro Gamer I have talked to hated the Wii... and oddly, I think that makes me like it even more.

Don't know what to classify myself as, but I love the Wii over a lot of games because of the Mario games, I especially love the Donkey Kong game they come out with. The Sonic games are fun to me despite their low popularity. I'm not too picky about the games I play, but I'm extremely picky about the games that I buy, lol.

Yes, but it would suck if it was in a worse condition. Honesty (and pictures) work good.

Did well this week with a CD -- was to be shipped Parcel Post (for non US-people, it's cheap but slow) but was shipped First Class instead -- got it within 3 days.

Go Ebay
