awesome shipping miscalculation

Post by jackspicer »

Ive finally done it, i now own a neo geo! in honor of Together Retro: Samurai Shodown i was looking in ebay for one and i lucked out - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0223212377
a neo geo with Samurai Shodown 1&2 for only 187.00 after shipping, cool eh. but still 4 week shipping arg.. well i got a sweet message in my inbox that says
"Thanks again! I just wanted to let you know that due to my own shipping miscalculation, in that the size of the box mattered, I sent your package EMS (taking 7-14 days) instead of sea mail. It ended up being a little over $90 to ship that way. Of course, I wouldn't ask you to pay anything more, and just wanted to let you know that it was a mistake on my end that works in your favor.
Please keep me up to date! Hope you enjoy it!'' i dont like the idea that im benefiting from his misfortune, i have also lost money on ebay from not charging enough for shipping, but im so psyched.

That was very nice of him -- hope you left very nice feedback.
I'm jealous though -- I've had my eye on a Neo-Geo....

I had the same question.. I just bought a Neo-Geo CD and had it shipped EMS also.. have my eye on a AES but they are so damn expensive.

I have to say an AES or an MVS and a nice supergun is something I definitely aim to have very soon...

there is something so prestigious about an AES though - congratulations :)
