Ha ha, I've been there. In my area, if you want to make music, you'd better be into:

Hardcore
Metalcore
Post Metalcore

Same thing here, except all of the bands are christian and play shows at the local churches.
Oh and we have a ton of really terrible nu metal acts.

Dammit now I'm crawling my PC for my mp3s. I haven't heard my own stuff in ages and now I'm feeling a bit nostalgic!

just the cover makes me happy. Such a brilliant album. Though I'm in the minority thay make actually think Labcabincalifornia is even better. But both of them are just excellent. Love Tha Pharcyde.

I think I found them. Fucking 93 mp3s, most of which are 30 second unfinished ideas, various songs in various stages of completion, and me being a goofball.

This album is so fuckin' ahead of it's time. I can't emphasize it enough. If you've ever been into hip hop, give it a listen. The only album I can think of to compare it to, not genre-wise, rather success wise, is Paul's Boutique by the Beastie Boys. It might not seem big now, but give it some time.

EDIT: I realized my analogy seemed hard to understand :P when Paul's Boutique came out, it was considered a commercial failure. Today it's generally viewed as a masterpiece. Childish Gambino's Camp might not seem like a failure, but it's certainly not getting all the attention it deserves.

I need to check out that album as well. Have you heard about the documentry 1 More Hit? It apparently deals with producer J-Swifts crack addiction and look interesting.

I gave a listen to that 'Bonfire' track and I can't really see the praise everyone is giving it.
