MGS Rising was intended to be different from a typical MGS to begin with as far as playstyles (Hyper Sword Play opposed to Sneak/Stealth) due to main characters obviously. So hearing Platinums doin it up really makes sense its mos def juicey details and I can not f*n wait.brunoafh wrote:I know there are a few MGS fans on here, this is pretty great news. I had very little interest in MGS Rising, mainly due to Kojima not being involved, but a Metal Gear title in the hands of Platinum? Count me in.

Platinum Games is now directing MGS Rising

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.
Re: Platinum Games is now directing MGS Rising
You know I really don't understand the uproar this game is creating. It's a spin-off, just like Metal Gear Acid, and to a lesser extent the Metal Gear Online series. Hell, Metal Gear Solid itself is a spin-off in a sense. The producers of the game and Kojima himself have gone on record multiple times already saying this is not a Metal Gear Solid sequel. I think the game looks pretty cool myself and if Platinum is behind it, well, their track record speaks for itself. It's going to be a quality product at very least.

I really don't get the uproar either. Rising was cancelled. Fans were going to get nothing. Now they get something. If it turns out to not be good or they don't like it they just shouldn't buy it.
