I own a PAL Saturn and I'm having some trouble playing import titles with the Action Replay cart. When i load the game with the cart inserted it doesn't always go straight to the action replay screen, and rather it just goes to the CD player. I find that if I insert the card first, wait until the CD player screen appears, insert the disc, and press reset, it then seems to take me to the action replay screen. Yet the whole thing seems a bit like trial and error... Often I don't need to play around with it and sometimes I do.
The main problem is when I get to the action replay screen itself. When i click to begin the game it notifies me that the game is loading but the game fails to actually load. I have waited up to fifteen minutes for the game to start but im fairly sure it shouldn't take this long anyway.
The only game it have got to work is Vampire Saviour [only once i must add] and i managed that via the CD player screen! [it just asked me if i wanted to start the game from there] I'm pretty sure i managed this by just taking the disk out and putting it back in about 5 or six times but it hasn't worked since.
There is a good chance that the problem might just be to do with the Saturn itself, but it generally loads PAL games absolutely fine. [shining force took two tries the other day] I have two import titles which are Vampire Saviour and Panzer Dragoon Saga [both JAP], and Vampire Saviour is the only one which I have got working [once]. I have noticed that the disc frequently stops spinning when it enters the action replay screen, although even when it is spinning the game doesn't load
If anyone can help then that would be great.
