A couple of questions...
Right, I'm not much of a PC gamer. I can't use keyboard and mouse, and I'm not too good with any kind of mods, part of my intrest in the games. I prefer gaming from my couch, and don't have a way to connect my PC to the TV (Currently). Another problem I have is that I only have 1 friend who is a PC gamer, and we haven't talked much lately, so I'm not sure whether he is still up on that. I also can't talk to my friends other friends on there. However, I'm very interested in playing TF2 (which I have downloaded and played) and Left 4 Dead, along with others. L4D I really want to play community made maps on, but again, no friends. What do you guys think? What should I do? Any suggestions?

These two statements don't work together. If you play a multiplayer FPS on the PC without a controller you will get eaten alive. The Last Horseman wrote:RI can't use keyboard and mouse,

Re: A couple of questions...
Been over this in other threads before. I do decently enough, and I can't use a keyboard effectively 70% of the time. Argument is invalid. I would, but I have an Englishman's knot. Plus, I am more accurate with stick movement wise than buttons/dpads. Just how long I've been a console gamer.MrPopo wrote:These two statements don't work together. This isn't an argument. This is a fact of life. I would not recommend you get involved in multiplayer PC FPS's if you're on a controller. The Last Horseman wrote:Been over this in other threads before. I rebuttle: I don't get on competetive servers, and have done well enough in Team Fortress 2 to get on the top of the board 5-6 games in a row. I do not have a mike. Anyways, in a game like Left 4 Dead, I'm not usually in direct competition, I'm just fighting the AI.

Re: A couple of questions...
It's rare but Popo is right this time. Keyboard and mouse is superior to gamepad. There is no argument there because that's the facts. However, I think it's fine to play an online PC FPS with a gamepad, as long as you don't play teams. It is rude for someone to play teams and not try to win. If you want to be a shitty FPS player, stick to free for all type modes so you don't ruin other people's fun.
In other words, you can play online games however you want, as long as you aren't bothering other players.

All right, let me ask it this way. Is it worth it to buy the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2 for the modded maps/other downloadable goodies? I have the Xbox 360 version, which is gimped in that aspect.
Also, don't be so dickish. Its not my fault I have this.

You have a disability that prevents you from properly using keyboard and mouse?

Yes. I don't know the propper name, I've always called it an Englishman's knot. It pulls your fingers in toward the middle of your palm, and gets painful. I have it on my left hand, and so I can't use WASD and surrounding keys well. I can get it fixed, but I'm avoidng it for now, for various reasons. Typing and most everyday things don't affect it, but certain finger movements make it act up.
Yes, I know I sounded bad that last post. But it agrivates me that I always here the KB+M is better argument. I'm not saying its not, I'm saying that just doesn't work for me.

Re: A couple of questions...
If you have a physical condition that makes using KB+M to play games painful, perhaps you should've said that clearly in the first post.
