I know the guy who made it. His work is almost always of reenactor quality. He and his girlfriend showed me the ins and outs of his first portal gun a couple years ago at a convention, right after it was posted on Kotaku (he is a guest at my show now).

His most recent works have been Daft Punk related:

Yeah, the portal gun at last year's auction that he made also went for insane amounts of money. This year he was actually bidding on his own item, though I don't know if he was the eventual winner or not.

What do you want for the TF2 poster?

Hookers, blow, cars, you name it. I NEED that poster.

Dude. I don't love kids enough for that...

And I would have spent $11,500 on a butt-load of good games, if I was going to spend $11,500 on games, rather than on one mediocre game. But hey, at least you own a real gaming holy grail. You should get it framed or something.

Well, technically it's three games in one!

This.

Still, holy hell that's a lot of money.

It came in a protective case. I'm still deciding the best way to display it. My Miyamoto-signed Mario Kart is framed, but I think this needs even more special treatment. Maybe a pedestal like it was a gem in a museum.
