But you bring up a good one in favor of the 360. Many of the significant multiplat games run and look better on the 360.
That was only really true for the first year or two. The differences are negligible now, and weren't exactly big then either. In fact, some games run much better on PS3 such as FFXIII.

Sure, but Red Dead a few years ago, and Skyrim a few weeks ago, I think the argument is more true than not. Or is this a myth ready to be busted?

By the same token, GTA IV and Oblivion were better on PS3.

It varies game to game.

One thing I know for sure is that PS3 exclusives usually look a ton better than any 360 game. Uncharted 3 and Killzone 3 are amazing considering the hardware.

You'd say multiplat port quality isn't worth listing as a strength for either system, then?

One thing i'm really looking forward to doing is setting up system link with these consoles and having some friends over. Once these consoles become dirt cheap, I think there's tons of fun games that support that this generation.

I'd say no, because I don't think there's a clear winner. I too think that it's really a very game-to-game thing.

I feel like yr argument against DLC games is that someday the place to buy them might not exist. But if you bought the game when the digital shop was open, then you've had it all that time. And still have it as long as you have that console. How is that different from buying a physical game at a store and then the store closes? You still have yr game because you bought it before the store closed.
Yes, my point is that the place to buy DLC might not exist in the future. Online services get shut down. Even if they stay up, the games themselves may be taken down after a few years. If they didn't have DRM, that wouldn't be a problem, but they do, so hacking and piracy will pretty much be the only way to obtain these types of games.

GoG remains the only game download service that does it right. If their games get taken down, or if the entire company goes out of business, you can still obtain the games easily thanks to having no DRM.

Doesn't PC own compared to both PS3 and 360 when it comes to multiplatform games? Are there any examples otherwise?

this baffles me though. Yes, in the future -- who knows when -- a retailer may shut down. Do you buy books? You shouldn't. All the bookstores might shut down someday.

*Near future. In other words, a few years after the next generation takes over.

And your book analogy doesn't work, because I can still buy the book I want after the store shuts down. You can't do that with DLC because of DRM.
