Haha I was, maybe i'm in denial though since the only exclusives I can remember playing was the entire Uncharted series, 3d dot game heroes, heavy rain, alan wake, and the gears of war series.

Alan Wake isn't on PS3.winds wrote:Haha I was, maybe i'm in denial though since the only exclusives I can remember playing was the entire Uncharted series, 3d dot game heroes, heavy rain, alan wake, and the gears of war series.
But ok, those you mentioned, God of War series, MGS series for big hitters. There's plenty of niche stuff that I'm into as well... I'm guessing yr an RPG fan from yr avatar?
Re: 360 vs PS3 as future retro platforms...
Yeah both alan wake and gears of war I meant for 360, those, as far as I can remember, were the only exclusives I played on 360. The rest were for ps3 exclusives i've played.
Yeah RPG is still my favourite genre, and now that you mention it I can't believe I forgot about all the RPG exclusives on the ps3 haha. I have yet to play most of them, mainly because I no longer have the free time to invest in the lengthy games anymore, but I really want to. I especially wanted to play Hyperdimension Neptunia, even more so because of the sequel on the horizon.
Edit: Thanks for the link Isiolia, I was looking for something like this. Cheers!

yup. I adore Hyperdimension. And honestly, if yr a JRPG fan then PS3 should be the console for you! Think of all the stuf that NISA has been putting out!!
Re: 360 vs PS3 as future retro platforms...
Alright you won me over slightly, haha. But in all honestly, I could see myself collecting for both when these consoles become retro. PS3 for the RPG exclusives, 360 for the ports.

The ironic thing is that early on, the 360 was the system for JRPGs, and while some were rereleased in enhanced form on the PS3, not all were (Lost Odyssey, Last Remnant, Blue Dragon, and Infinite Undiscovery for examples).
Re: 360 vs PS3 as future retro platforms...
I'll be building a digital collection on my ps3...
Re: 360 vs PS3 as future retro platforms...
Ya read people's responses? Here are the arguments so far for the PS3 being a stronger "retro" system in 10 years than the 360:winds wrote:I'm not quite understanding people siding with the ps3.
* less focus on online multiplayer games
* more flexible as far as hacking and installing other OS's
* region-free
* more compelling exclusives
* backwards compatibility
* console build quality
But you bring up a good one in favor of the 360. Many of the significant multiplat games run and look better on the 360.
