I have most memories associated with #1 but I'd say that #2 is the best. #3 is also really good but it just feels a little different w/o the usual Kongs~

For sure the #2 is the best. All three games are great anyway.

2 then 1 then 3. 2 was a perfect sequel. 3 just got a little too complex and the environments just aren't as cool.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?

I never played the third, but I enjoyed the second one more than the first. Although the first one certainly holds more nostalgia for me since I was amazed by the graphics and music they managed to pull out of the S-NES at the time.

I don't remember what number it was but the one with pirates. By the way Donkey Kong Country actually sucks. The only reason it was popular back in the day was because the graphics were cool. If you actually play it and aren't thinking "it's nintendo and a classic so it's good" you'll see it's a mediocre platformer.

Completely untrue. DKC has really solid platform gameplay bolstered by awesome graphics. It's a classic for a reason. You want to talk about so called classics with crap gameplay, just look at Shenmue. Or more recent overrated piles of crap like Odin Sphere.
