When reading up more.. It's amazing how OP chun is... Perfect example is her many taunts, one taunt makes her on par with Hugo in stamina.. That is ridiculous!!!

You see tourneys even today, it's basically a Yun and Chun fest over and over..
That's because all those tourneys are just regurgitating information they've been taught. They aren't creating their own technology.

Almost every American tournament has no characters other than Yun, Chun, Makoto, Dudley - and yes, Urien. However, if you watch Japanese tournaments, you'll see a much wider variety of characters.

Plenty of characters have hit confirmed normals (Elena, Crouch MP, Dudley standing HK etc) chun is at another level due to the damage capability after hit confirming cround MP, the same applies to hit confirming Genei Jin. Yang does not have this perk at all, and I mean dealing hard damage after hit confirming! He cannot dish out damage like chun, Yun, Makoto, Urien can. Torouzan deals decent damage at best and stun is only a factor when your opponent has low stun meter. The point is yang is great but the fact is there is more work invovled to win a round as oppose to the characters in question. I've been playing 3S (with yang) since 01 and very rarely do you see high level Yang players in the scene (Sextaro, Rom, KO I believe) and IN THE ARCADE scene in Cali, Urien gets plenty of use since the beginning and all of a sudden he blew up after people finally saw his potential due to Aegis. Yun will always be better than Yang, until Genei exists lol! Yeah but her taunt types are random so they don't provide any high level use.

There are some decent taunt application use though with Twelve, Sean, and Urien.

Aegis has been used since 99 tournaments so that's nothing new.. He's always been a good character but far from top tier.. He is not as good as Dudley and it's debateable to whether he is good as Yang.. I don't know what you mean but Yang not having good hit confirms, if you look him up he has plenty!!! And his damage is decent, if the tier list went solely by damage, Makoto and Hugo would be at the top!!

The tier list used to change every year, so I don't know what you mean.. And most of those lists are referred by to Japanese tourneys.. FInally, I think it's well known that U.S players whore top tier characters more.. You see this with SSFIV as well..
