Yeah there is good net, I had real good net from SEMO and UMSL St. Louis. When I lived in North County St. Louis I had a decent connection from Charter (which was too expensive for the crappy connection and other problems despite the average to good speeds).

I had Internet 2 at my university about 10 years ago. At one point I did the math and figured out that my downloads were limited by the speed of my hard disk. It was an old computer so it was probably ATA66, so not all that much by todays standards but I was blown away at the time. I still have boxes of lossless live audio recordings I'm probably never going to listen to again.
